Senses
Fail - Life is Not a Waiting Room (Vagrant)
Senses Fail has a new album , Life Is Not a
Waiting Room, following their 2006 release Still
Searching. I wasn't a fan of their past 2 albums,
but I can say that this album has some pretty
solid songs. One of my favorite tracks is “Family
Tradition.” This track talks about how
the singer "…lost something when
he was 17 I can't get back…" and
how his life has pretty much gone down the drain.
This CD has a more upbeat style to it, unlike
their last album which had a more dark and dreary
side, which I think makes it stand out. Even
if you're not a big fan of Senses Fail, you
should still probably check this CD out. You
will most likely change your opinion of this
band, and you may just really like this album.
On the other hand, they still stay close to
their roots, so if you are a fan, you don't
have to worry. Life Is Not A Waiting Room really
takes this band to the next level. – Allisa

Blatant Finger - Eight for the Road (myspace.com/blatantfinger)
Containing 8 rebellious tracks for your guitar
smashing needs, Blatant Finger's new album brings
old school punk rock and Midwestern style hardcore
together. The Ohio trio relates to various artists
like Social Distortion, One Man Army, and Alkaline
Trio, but still has their own flare that stands
out from any other local punk band. Just pop
in this disc and you'll hear melodict beats
and songs that describe relationships, acting
crazy, etc. The thing that stood out the most
to me was the lead singer, Tom Barret's deep
and dramatic voice. This CD will get you hooked
right away. – Allisa Peterson
